Haven Given Up Hope, I Found You

    My Love
I waited so long for you
That I had begun to believe
There was no such thing as true love,
That my life would be lived out alone,
    That nothing precious
Would come in the form of someone to love.

Finally, after so many sorrows and misteps and losses,
After I had given up all hope,
You were given to me like a miracle,
    Like a single elegant star
    In the darkest of nights.

    Now I feel joy
    Now I feel whole
Now I feel that anything is possible.

    Thank you for coming into my life;
    Thankyou for loving me well.
I have waited so long for my heart to be glad,
For my soul to be full.

Thank you for coming into my life.
Thank you for coming into my love.

    I, _____, take you, ______,
From this day forward and into the long forever,
To be my beloved, my sweetheart, my darling, my wife/husband.

I promise always to love you,
To honor you, to adore you,
To give thanks for the gift of your presence.

    You are the one I admire;
You are the one I adore.
You are the one I choose to go on with forever,
From now until the end of my life.

    Marriage by Mark Twain

    A Marriage, by Mark Twain

    A marriage makes of two fractional lives a whole;
It gives two purposeless lives a work,
And doubles the strength of each to perform it.
It gives to two questioning natures a reason for living
    And something to live for.
It will give new gladness to the sunshine,
A new fragrance to the flowers, a new beauty to the earth
And a new mystery to life.

    Moose Witness March Wedding

    Millie the Moose Witnesses As
Don and Nancy Join Hands In Marriage
    On This Beautiful March Day

"It was more beautiful than I thought it would be.  I never knew Coeur d'Alene was such a pretty place.  And the ceremony was lovely."  shared Nancy at their March 25, 2013 elopement.  "We are having the regular wedding with a priest in Louisiana for our family, but didn't want to worry about getting all the paperwork right or forgetting something.  So we just drove over from Seattle to elope first."
"This was just wonderful.  Am so glad you were available at the last minute like this.  We tried to find a justice of the peace and your name came up.  Thank you much.  And on top of it all, we had the Moose as our witness!" laughed Don.

Thank you Don and Nancy for letting us officiate on the balmy wintery day.

    Irish Blessings

"May the Lord keep you in his hand
and never close his fist too tight."

"May your home always be to small to hold all your friends."

"It's easy to halve the potato where there's love."

"As you slide down the banister of life,
may the splinters never point in the wrong direction."

"May you live to be a hundred years with one extra year to repent."

"May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light.
May good lluck pursue you each morning and night."

"May God be with you and bless you.
May you see your children's children.
May you be poor in misfortunes and rich in blessings.
May you know nothing but happiness
    from this day forward."

    Bless this Marriage, O God

    Bless this marriage, O God,

    as they begin their journey

down the road of life together.

We don’t know what lies ahead

for the road turns and bends.

But help them to make the best of

    whatever comes their way.

Help them to hug each other often…

laugh a lot, talk more, and argue less.

Help them to continue to enjoy

each other as they did when they first met.

Help them to realize that nothing nor no one

is perfect and to look for the good in

all things and all people, including themselves.

Help them respect each other’s likes and dislikes,

opinion and beliefs, hopes and dreams and fears

even though they may not always understand them.

Help them to learn from each other

and to help each other to grow

    mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Help them to realize that there is design

and purpose in their lives as in the world

and no matter what happens to them

they must hold on to each other and

know that things have a way of working out for the good.

Help them to create for their children a peaceful,

stable home of love as a foundation

on which they can build their lives.

But most of all, dear God, help them to keep lit

the torch of love that they now share in their hearts

so that by their loving example they may

pass on the light of love to their children

and to their children’s  children forever. Amen
